Physical Education and Yoga

SPS provides structured physical education, that is, a traditional PE class or a yoga class, daily to all students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, twice weekly to students in 4th and 5th and once a week for 7th and 8th grades. Healthy children make stronger students, and stronger students lead to healthier communities. In addition to the prevention of medical problems, research supports that regular physical education is directly linked to higher achievement in academics.
